Abstract
This article examines the nature of banking regulation and banking supervision, issues of government regulation of banking activities and their theoretical and practical aspects, as well as questions of banking regulation and banking supervision as part of the state banking regulation.It is noted that state regulation of banking activity includes banking regulation and banking supervision. This approach contributes to the adequate use of these concepts in banking and deepens the theoretical foundations in the fi eld of banking regulation.
