Abstract
The foreign capital and the participation of the foreign investors in the Ukrainian banking system are one of the key factors of its stability and development. From this point of view, it is necessary to analyze the history, modern state and prospects of the foreign capital in Ukrainian banking system functioning. In the article are observed the theoretical and methodological aspects of the FDI in Ukrainian banking system, the results of empirical analyses are displayed. Th e author adduces the stages of foreign investors invasion to Ukrainian market. Follows the results of research author displayed the potential scenarios of the foreign investors participation in Ukrainian banking system depends on development of economic and politic situation in the country.
